Hendrix Genetics Layers at IPPE 2019
On February 12-14, 2019 the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) took place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Hendrix Genetics’ spacious booth exhibited poultry brands for turkeys (Hybrid), traditional poultry (Sasso), and layers (Shaver, Dekalb, Bovans, ISA, Babcock, and Hisex). Over 33,000 attended the Expo, including many leaders and owners of large international poultry companies from all over the world.
Hendrix-ISA, the US distributor of day-old layer chicks, continues to grow. Hendrix-ISA was established in 2015 and, after just 4 years of operation, is delivering around 60 million day-old chicks to the market. The combination of a strong, dedicated and motivated team, with excellent genetics, is the reason for this impressive growth and has created a solid foundation for the future.
The show is another great opportunity to thank our customers for their business by inviting them to an appreciation dinner. Over 150 customers attended, many of them owners of the largest egg layer companies in the world from the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, and India. Thijs Hendrix personally thanked the customers for their confidence in our company, people and products and added a personal touch by commemorating the recent passing of Donald McQueen Shaver at the age of 97. Dr. Shaver was the founding father of the Shaver brand. Thijs Hendrix stated, ”We all walk in the footsteps of some great people that were here before us. Thanks to their efforts, our businesses had the opportunity to grow to what they are today. A big thanks to Dr. Shaver”.
All in all, IPPE was a successful show, indicating that 2019 will be another great year for Hendrix Genetics Layers and its business partners in the worldwide egg value chain.
